Working closely with local groups, politicians, and school districts we target schools with a high percentage of “at-risk” students and introduce the I AM EQUAL FOUNDATION scholarship initiative to the 6th grade class. After a program presentation, students are given an information packet and an opportunity to decide if this is a program they want to commit to; they will we working with us for the next 8 years.

We notice that the students that choose to participate in the I AM EQUAL FOUNDATION scholarship initiative are bright, gifted individuals who are hungry for a future. They are dynamic and inspiring young people looking to ensure a bright future for themselves and their family.

Our participating students commit to a long-term relationship with our program. They write yearly essays that explain how they are putting their education and future first. We also require that they take an active role in building and supporting the local community through volunteer opportunities with charities and organizations in their neighborhood. These students are committing to a lifetime of community engagement, social involvement, and education advancement.
